my sd card has space taken but wont display pictures on camera and pc both

my friend took my sd card to take out some pictures. when i got it back it did not show the pictures in my camera i tried to plug it into the computer it showed that the sd card was occupying space but it did not show the pics. i have tried un hiding the files nut no luck

Did your friend use a different camera (manufacturer, model, etc.) to take the pictures? If yes, did he/she format the card for use in that camera before taking the pictures?

There is a free software called irfan view. try it on the sd card. that software saved my shoot. hope it helps
