My t.v has av not composite can i still connect my green blue cables to make my wii work

My tv has only hdmi and av setting and no composite setting .can i still use my green blue cables to play my wii . and the picture is black and white .help plz

When you have a shared component (3RCA) composite(1RCA) video input and you connect a composite video to it you will get a black and white picture unless you go into the TV menu and set the input to composite,
