my toshiba tv just went out one day i had cable hooked up to it, i have tried everything

i really need help i have tried everything to try and fix my tv.all i see is the letters Toshiba when i first turn it on,and thats it ,no sound no menu that i can go to,nothing...any input would help me, i am using my grandsons tv right now untill i can fix this one or afford to get another one but as u all know they are not cheap....its only 2 years old in my heart i feel like it can be fixed ,so any kind of help would be a blessing.....thanks....
