Need a good file recovery software!!

Hi guys,

Looks like I accidentally ran HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool on my 500gb Seagate External harddrive, and all my files are gone.

My computer is now prompting me to format the drive before it is useable.

Do you guys have any idea how I can retrieve these files back?

You would be looking for something like File Scavenger using the full-scan option.

As long as you didn't do a full-erase or overwrite some of the data, it should be able to recover just about everything. You need to buy a license to recover files larger than 64KB though.
