Need application that shows hard drive storage usage history

My ssd is the C drive so it constantly gets use for caching and temporary file storage by different programs. What I want is an application that can tell me which program is putting what files in where. For example if I am loading a youtube video using Chrome, I want the program to tell me chrome is putting file xxxx in x folder of my x drive.

Alternatively an application that allows me to change the directory where cache and temp files are stored could work too.

Well i don't think it's exactly possible, but you can see how much an application is writing to the disk by going to task manager > performance > resource monitor
