Hello , so I my last headset broke and it was not good too, I am thinking about investing into new a lot better headset or headphones + mic.
I have gone nowhere and been searching net/ fooling around more than a week. During this time I have raised my budget to maximum (estimate 70 Dollars / 50 euros MAX) for headset OR headphones + microphone.
I am looking for best variant what will offer best quality for this price.

I am gamer and I do streams / commentary videos,, sometimes some simple music vocals recording ( for now due to poor mic, it was going poorly).

I may even care more about mic sound than headset sound.

That is why I was looking to possibly get some condenser mic with headphones.

Other thing I would really like to have is headphones (over ear) for my player too, this kinda excludes some headsets due fact they have mic outside or they connect with usb.

For this reason I looked more into headsets with retractable/removable mic .

I got some picks I am/was looking at (will add in poll), but would like to know others opinion what to take, so as I never had headset more expensive than about 30 dollars :/ In this case 70 is large step to get something decent :D

1) Steelseries 5h - Look nice and quite durable, can be folded/ transported and used as headphones without looking like a tool ( no mic hanging)
However seems mic is quite bad :/ Would have taken these if not for mic :/

2)A4 tech G501 Bloody - Seems to have some nice software support, hovever somehow they do not sound / feel right. They have only USB connector too, with is drawback too.

3) Genius Cavimanus HS-G700V - Yet again only USB, mic seems clumsy, durability seems quite nice in general if we count out mic. Weird vibration function is added to headset, may be interesting to play games with it.

4) GENIUS GX ZABIUS HS-G850 - seems to quite cheap where I live, seems to have removable mic, interesting look in general.

5) Creative Fatal1ty - Seems quite simple , and seems to not have best reviews too, mic seems to be quite poor too, but detachable.

6) SoundBLASTER Tactic 3D Sigma - Detachable mic, Can be usb and can be common 3,5 mm. Cable seems quite thin, headset in general seems quite durable and will not look like tool while using as headphones, not sure about mic though.

7)Tt eSPORTS Shock - Some kind of wierd headset, jet only with usb :/ Mic seems bad too

8) Corsair Raptor HS30 - do not know nothing much about this one.As far it seems, mic in not detachable, so it cant be headphones .

There are some others I have seen nearby in price point : Ozone Rage ST , some TRUST and cheaper Genius headsets.

Have not checked headphones, and mics yet , do not know much about mics in general. But was thinking about condenser mic. Possible some cheap variant like this :
Mic + headphones, mic is said to good(will be better than any of above headsets I think) , and price is gorgeous, jet delivery may add up to price there. + mic seems well built too.

There are some other samson mics quite cheap too. Some other decent mics ranging about 20-40 $, that will leave like 30 for headphones ...

Sorry for real long post, just wanted to give something I have found out :D

Thanks for reading and hope to get some opinions :)

After looking a little I decided to go for mic + headphones most likely, find nice real cheap and actually good condenser mic, now just need some good headphones :)

you might be interested in the blue snowball microphone. that is a popular choice for youtubers on a budget. perhaps a pair of ath-m30s or some sennheisers for headphones. your choice.
