Need help deciding between these 2 laptops ASAP

I want a new gaming laptop and cant decide between these 2 laptops

Reason being is the MSI laptop has a 5th Gen Intel processor but a non-IPS screen, The Asus has a 4th Gen Intel processor but has an IPS screen. Prices are similar so is the better processor or the better screen worth it. Ive never had an IPS screen so not sure if its that big of a difference. Im trying to buy this laptop today so a quick response would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.

CPUs near equal, same GPU, DRAM, I'd go the Asus with the better screen

I would go for the ASUS as it has slightly better gaming performance but if portability is a factor defiantly go for the MSI. Keep in mind that the MSI is good as a gaming laptop and a workstation. There wont be major FPS differences!

Thanks guys, i actually went with the MSI because everything spec wise was the same minus the screen and processor but the MSI had a lot better customer reviews and the MSI also came with a free MSI laptop backpack worth $99.99 and a free game ( either Rainbow Six:Seige or Assasins Creed Synicate) so with the free stuff, the better reviews, and the better processor i went with the MSI. It actually came in the mail yesterday and this thing is awesome. I love the steel series keyboard and the display is awesome even not being an IPS it has a very very good viewing angle. So in the end I am very happy i chose the MSI. So once again thanks to the people that responded, i appreciate the input.
