Need help fixing an unresponsive key on a Toshiba Chromebook

I currently have a Toshiba Chromebook that works in every way shape and form, except for a single key on its keyboard, the V key. Every other key works. There is something spilled on it, which I don't know the identity of, but its only present on a small amount of keys, of which doesn't include the V. The sticker on the bottem of the laptop lables it as - TOSHIBA CB35 B3340 Chromebook 2 - if that is important in any way. I cant find much on how to troubleshoot and fix this type of chromebook, so, anything helps. I'd like to avoid tearing it apart, as I know nothing about laptops, and avoid buying a completely new one

Even if the spill you know of doesn't seem to be anywhere that would effect the V key, doesn't mean that it isn't somewhere internally that would effect it, or that something else got in there. Crumbs, lint, etc., lots of things can get in the way.

The only way to know for certain would be to really clean it out. Then let it dry a good long while before you try to access it again.

Also, if that doesn't help, you can try uninstalling the keyboard driver, rebooting the computer (yes without reinstalling it) and then when the computer restarts it should reinstall the driver on its own.
