Need help forcing laptop to boot to CD/DVD in UEFI mode

hi peeps, i recently picked up an MSI GE70-2OE-238UK. I've installed an mSata SSD and formatted it etc.
Now, I have a windows 8 pro disk and I want to boot and install in UEFI mode. But UEFI mode won't let me boot fron CD.
Under fixed boot drive priority, i disabled the HDD and set DVD to 1st, but upon restart, it boots me to bios.
i also tried disabling Windows boot manager under BBS priorities, still no luck.
I can boot and install in legacy mode, but i really want windows 8 in UEFI mode.

Really frustrated over here, please shed some light on this matter

According to MSI here http/www.msi.com/product/nb/GE70-2OE.html#download there are two BIOS versions that support UEFI, 717 and 517, if you don't have one of those currently installed, you need to flash to one of them to get that feature - MSI also has a guide to do that here http/www.msi.com/files/pdf/Flash_BIOS_by_UEFI_BIOS_Setup_Utility_en.pdf (direct pdf link)
