need help on my gpu problem

i own a msi gt60 0nc an unfortunately its graphic card (nvidia gtx 670m 3gb gddr5) is dead. my friend has an extra graphic card whose model is nvidia gtx 580m 2gb gddr5 and it is pulled out from an alienware m18x.
i just wondring that will it be compatible with my gt60 0nc or not ??

I dont think this will be adaptable, you would need the same model

you need an mxm card of about the same tdp

edit: you could try it, might work. the slot looks the same
edit2: worse is you fry both...
