Solved! Need to find a DIM tool to download Bios info

I have a HP DV9727cl that we were trying to do a dual boot of XP pro and Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. At the point of the BIOS update, the point where you restart the system, the system failed to restat and shut down loing bios information.

Have you checked HP's support site to see what BIOS version that computer had? Usually such support sites have BIOS updates as well, so really it is just a matter of downloading it and re-flashing.
