I am trying to buy a ultrabook that has low weight (<3.75lbs) , decent battery life and I have finalized the following two laptops:

Toshiba Tecra Z40: $799
5th Gen. Intel® Core™ i5-5200U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.70GHz) with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 2.0
Windows 7 Professional
4GB DDR3L 1600MHz (4GB x 1)
500GB HDD (5400rpm, Serial ATA)
14.0" HD TFT LED Backlit Display (1366x768)
Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 7265 Plus Bluetooth 4.0
1 Year Standard Limited Warranty (1 Year on Battery)

HP Elitebook Folio 9480m: $1099

Windows 7
14-inch diagonal LED-backlit HD SVA Anti-Glare (1366x768) for Webcam
Integrated HD Webcam
4GB 1600MHz DDR3 (1D)
500GB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive
32 GB Flash Cache
Back-lit TouchPad Keyboard
Intel(R) 7260ac 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac + Bluetooth 4.0
45 Watt Smart nPFC AC Adapter
Power Cord - 1.0 Meters
4-cell (52 WHr) battery Long Life
Intel i5-4210U (1.7GHz w/ Turbo, 3MB Cache) Processor

Which one to buy?
Hows 4th gen i5 vs 5th gen i5 ?
does both the laptops have flash cache ?
Is there any other laptops that I am currently not looking at ? (price <$1100)

Your advice/comments/help will be greatly appreciated.

Enjoy the summer while it lasts!

Think I'd go the Toshiba on a specs based look over. They are very similar other than CPU, and with the Lower price, could prob upgrade DRAM to 8GB and still have better price

Well, try to ignore the price for a moment. What about 32 GB flash cache? isn't it awesome to have a flash memory that will make the laptop faster? Brandwise, is Toshiba as good as HP?

With the additional memory, less need for the cache, brandwise I'm not a big fan of either (though would lean to Toshiba of the two), for laptops I generally look to Lenovo and Asus 😉 Sorry
