I have a brand new Asus UX490UA laptop with USB-C connection to Ethernet, standard USB, sound and mic and hdmi but it still comes with internal sound (Realtek and ICEpower) and mic.

The internal speakers and mic haven't worked and no matter how many times I try reinstalling the asus drivers, there is no sound or mic use.

When I unplug the USB-c connection Windows10 cannot see any drivers or cards and when I try to reinstall drivers it says it's all ok and to reboot but there is no sound and Realtek audio didn't install.

Any ideas please how I get the internal speakers and mic to work?

I get a Regedit error when I try to reinstall ICEPower but I don't think that's the issue.

Solution
If this is a new device, it sounds like there is a problem with the sounds. I would return it to where you got it and get them to give you another device, or contact the manufacturer for the same.
