I am looking to get a new laptop and need some advice. I am a university student (Computer Science) and I have several things I am looking for.
1) Games (Skyrim, Saints Row 3, COD, Assassins Creed, Mass Effect, Diablo, etc)
2) Virtual Machines Running Good (Win7, OSX, Ubuntu, etc)
3) Emulators (Project 64, Dolphin, etc)
4) School / Developing
5) Possibly 3D movies and games (NVidia 3D vision)
Origins EON15-S has caught my eye but I'm not sure which parts are realistic for my needs.
right now I had kinda been thinking
2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M
Intel Core i7-3720M Quad-Core Processor (2.60GHz), 6MB Cache
8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 4GB) or 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1866MHz (2 X 4GB) or 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz (4 X 4GB)
512GB Crucial M4 - Solid State Drive
I am wondering if these internals would be good for what I want to do, are they too powerful not powerful enough
are there any obvious bottle necks?
Thanks for reading, any insight is appreciated (I am not a hardware person)
PS. does anybody know what kind of battery life I could expect from this if im just browsing web or writing a program ( I know it probably wont be great )
