New HyperX Cloud II Headset having muffled sound

So,I bought a new Cloud II headset today since my old one broke.I used the cables inside and connecting to the PC,when I first heard the audio,it just sounded horribly muffled.I'm not sure if this is a feature or something,but I want to get a clearer sound.My friends also said that my mic audio was horrible as it was muffled too.Can anyone please help me?

The Cloud II headset being a USB driven warrants me to ask if your system's chipset and USB drivers are up to date. What headset were you on prior to the purchase of this(new)Cloud II headset? Speaking of system, can you please pass on your full system's specs inclusive of OS? Have you made sure the 3.5mm connector that goes into the control box/sound card is fully inserted?

You might also want to make sure your motherboard BIOS is up to date.

I just changed my USB plug's position from a 3.0 to another 3.0. Idk why it worked tho.Thanks for the answer anyways
