I bought a new laptop a bit after christmas, and for the first 2-3 weeks i was loving it, was playing GTA V on very high settings at 57-62 fps no problems, but recently I've been getting fps problems in every game. On occasions, in rainbow six siege my fps drops to 30, in minecraft it hovers around 50, in gta v it's constantly jumping from 40-57 fps, and in CS:GO my game freezes for about half a second every 5-10 minutes. It may be a heat problem, but i doubt it since it's too new to have much dust in it, and I own a cooling pad with 2 fans in it. While idling, my processor sits around 50-65 C, and my graphics card sits at 50. I've done virus scans, changed power options, and messed around in game settings, nvidia geforce expereience, nvidia control panel, and nvidia inspector, and nothing has really helped.
My specs are
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M (Dell) ForceWare version: 361.43, SLI Disabled
Intel Core i7 6700HQ @ 2.60GHz with Skylake 14nm Technology
my motherboard is a Dell Inc. 0H0CC0 (U3E1) and I'm running on windows 10.
Any help would be very much appreciated, so thank you in advance.
