New Laptop, internet really slow

The laptop is a Dell 14r 5437 with i5 processor and 8gb ram. The computer itself is lightning fast but really lags online with both microsoft edge and chrome browsers. My other devices stream fine so I don't think its the connection. I ran a benchmark test but I have no idea what any of it means. Any help would be appreciated.

I should add that after getting the laptop, I did a reset and cleaned the files as well as the drives.

Wifi or ethernet? if you can hook it to the router with ethernet and run this command

in command prompt :

ping google.com -n 50

then run

tracert google.com

copy and past results.

do the same on wifi

that 5th hope wow... out of your control but still.... hummm.
just to rule out the nic I AM SURE IT IS NOT AT FAULT

run

ping 127.0.0.1 -n 50

ANY drops its the wifi card!

Hook it in to Ethernet
run test again same short of results then we have rules it out as a wifi problem and as a nic problem

lol my dude this is going to be true always if you can put it on Ethernet then kool e o good to go ... 5 lost packets and a 820MS ping time are not good at all. if all else is working all other devices are good then i would think the wifi on the laptop is at fault

lol, that makes sense. So the Wifi card in the computer is bad, or going bad? And needs to be replaced?

I did as you suggested as I have the same problem but, I have no idea what the results mean lol. I am plugged into ethernet tho.
