New Laptop: Is it too hot?

I just got a new laptop for college and I want to make sure that it is acting alright. It is the Asus GL702VSK with a 1070 and i7 7700k. When I am playing games like Divinity Original Sin 2 or others the cores get to low 80s, but I have never caught it at 90. Is this safe, and more importantly I am hoping this laptop lasts a few years so is this something that can be sustained for a while. I do not game too often - maybe 3 hour intervals every day. Is there anything to worry about, is this the industry norm with the new generation of laptops?

Thanks!

Being a brand new laptop, I doubt there's much you need to do right now. I would suggest having it on a decent laptop cooler(at least while gaming). The only other things to do would be to air it out at least once a month... and possibly replace the thermal paste on the cpu + gpu with something high grade(that is, if you have the skill set to do so).
