To be straight up, I have 3000 to spend. I want a 15 inch gaming laptop for my money. I've been looking at Sager and Origin. I've seen some Asus too but to be quite honest my last laptop was a Asus G75, which I thought I'd researched properly, but ended up having screen issues, motherboard issues, etc. I need recommendations, apparently I've been out of the game long enough that I don't even understand half the stuff on the customize forms for the damn laptops. I was on Origin's website and ended up with a 3600 dollar laptop... Any suggestions guys?

That's the Origin model right? I looked at it earlier. I assume the "4790k" refers to the processor? Like I said man, I've been out of the hardware loop for awhile. I'm a history student so I generally study things older than electricity. Whats 4k panel vs. 1080p? I know 1080p obviously but what is 4k panel?

4k has basically 4 times smaller pixels than a 1080p screen.

So if you were to take one 1080p pixel, you could take 4 4k pixels and put them inside the 1080p pixel.

4k resolution: 3840x2160 (normal 4k) or ("real" [as I like to call it] 4k having a resolution of 4096x2160.

Anyways, when you have a higher resolution it will inherently require more GPU performance and thus make for a louder, hotter, and less haxor FPS experience.

As for the CPU, the 4790k is a desktop processor which Origin managed to fit into the laptop. I would definitely take advantage of that. Especially with this budget.
