Hello, i recentrly bought the dell g5 5578
I7-8750h
gtx 1060
and when i go to nvidia setting it says i have a 1050ti
Device manager says the same..
I am a little worried i have ben ripped off..

Solution

Unlikely this is a driver issue, the 1050Ti and 1060 will use the same driver package to install.

If you bought it second-hand, you have been ripped off. You can try reinstalling the graphics drivers, in case the GPU was upgraded, but it's unlikely.

If it's new, check your order.

Again highly unlikely as both cards use the same driver package making it next to impossible to install the wrong driver.

Im sorry for the language but the company i bought the laptop from are Removed...
I play full price 2640 leva (around 1563.52$ with 1060)
And what i got is the 1385.85$ version with a 1050ti..
I am so mad because they sell laptops for a living and they make mistakes like this, for me thats just unacceptable.
