New sound bar wth Video smart tv...No sound on apps

Samsung HW-M450 sound bar hooked to 55" vizeo smart tv model M65-C1....works great everywhere but online apps..no sound.... Using Optical cable..tv speakers turned off. Guy at Electronic Express thought I may need an update from video...any thoughts as to next steps?

Some TVs for some stupid reason don't send audio from the apps out of the TV. You could try changing the TV audio output type in the TV menu or if the app itself has a way for you to change it.
