Nikon Coolpix L830 won't turn on

I am traveling in Spain. My camera (Coolpix L830) was working fine. Batteries ran down, so I charged them. Put in charged batteries; "On" button will not turn the camera on. Tried 2 different sets of charged batteries; the camera still won't turn on. I am very frustrated and upset. Any ideas? Thank you.

Unless you are putting in the batteries the wrong way, you'd have to contact Nikon for support, it should still be in warranty.

Actually, yes -- I was putting the batteries in the wrong way! Such a fool am I. I mindlessly put all four batteries in positive side up (which is wrong). A very easy fix (duh), and my vacation is saved!
