No audio devices installed...!! Toshiba

Laptop= Toshiba Satellite
Audio driver = Conexant ,NVIDIA
Computer>Manage>Device manager>Sound video n game controller> shows 4 drivers or so for NVIDIA HD
i tried uninstalling conexant n reinstalled it frm toshiba website,but installation wizard shows n error saying ""no devices found for driver""...ok
when i click on "Playback devices" it shows "No audio devices installed "
im completely hopeless on this...cuz i got exams cmn up n seriously out of time 4 this matter.
The audio disappears suddenly.
i was using headphones the last tym it worked.

well ofcourse not....the speaker icon has a red cross on it.
there is no audio at all.

go to command prompt and run it as an administrator, then type sf /scannow, that should check for windows related problems and can solve them. Just remember to restart computer after to apply fixes

im logged in safe mode wid networking as my laptop is rather slow in normal mode..(i see no sound in normal as well
do i switch to normal...it takes time for window 2 startup.
n regarding the command u suggested...it says sf not recongnized....ny further suggestion
