I run the morning show at a school. To broadcast we connect a camcorder to mixer. We recently bought a new camera that only has mini HDMI out. Our mixer is a Videonics Digital Video Mixer and it only has RCA in. I bought a Mini HDMI to RCA Composite converter (https://www.amazon.com/Musou-Composite-Converter-Adapter-Supporting/dp/B015H76TRI) and hooked it up. The video is coming through the mixer perfectly but I am getting no audio. I've checked all the connections and the settings in the mixer - everything seems fine. Prior to getting the new camera, we had a Sony Handycam that had a 3.5 mm to RCA out and the audio worked fine.

Ah. Darn. That is weird. If you plug the camera into a TV over HDMI, do you get sound then?
