Hi,

I've purchased a Sony HT-XT1 soundstage and I'm looking to use it with a Sharp LC-40F22E TV. The TV does not have an HDMI (ARC) input, but has two HDMI ports.

Can someone let me know what cables/adapters I need? Will an RCA cable suffice? I've seen all sorts of info on switching the tv speakers off to enable the sound but I'm not able to do this as the TV doesn't have such a setting. I've contacted Sharp to get the latest software for the tv sent but I'm not sure this is even the issue. They don't even have the software available to download or a manual for the tv (it's not mine) to look over and its not available anywhere else.

Thanks for your help.

Seems that TV has a headphone jack, which you could use a 3,5mm to 3.5mm to the analog input on the soundstage

Or

It has a coaxial optical output and the soundstage has a toslink optical, so you would need a SPDIF to tosklink convertor, a SPDIF cable and a Toslink cable.
