Are you trying to boot from a USB or your HDD? Make sure your BIOS boot priority is set straight, if USB is over HDD and you dont have a bootable OS on your USB, it will give you that error.

If it wont detect the ODD, if you have any 4 > gig USB drives, you can install the ISO on them using the Windows 7 DVD Download Tool or Universal USB Installer (I recommend this since installing OS from USB is much faster than a DVD). Then put the USB at the top of the boot list and see how things go from there. Or if you dont have that, try using another DVD.
