no display on touch screen

No display, the fan comes on then stopped after 20 seconds.can hear HDD running.all lights on laptop keyboard are working.
just no display.tried many remedies.
such as holding down backspace while starting.
removed the battery and pulled the plug.
let sit a few minutes.
restart and still no light at all on display at any time.
No beep either when hitting the start button.
Start button does light up.
I am leaning towards a bad MOBO.

Hi, if you can, try an external monitor, you can also reseat the ram in your Toshiba.
