No operating system found

HDD became faulty so fitted new one.Tried loading win 7 but could not load from disc or USB stick.laptop will not load any bootable disc including partioning software.tried with CD drive disconnected but still same message. No operating system found.

did you change the boot sequence in the bios to allow 1st boot device be a dvd drive or usb device?

?hi I change the boot sequence to USB and CD drive first but no luck.I also tried loading disc partioning program also win 7 disc while the HDD was removed.But still it was asking for a operating system.many thanks for your reply

check that both the usb stick & dvd will boot on another computer.

Hi its a Toshiba satellite pro a40c 109-14. I5-6200
I have no serial number as this unit is a refurbished one.I have no recovery media but would have thought a disc partioning disc would have loaded.in the bios it does recognise the HDD USB and DVD.


Hi just a update still no luck but tried loading windows8 and received fault acpi_bios_error.

does that laptop have a built-in dvd drive or are you using external dvd drive?
