No recovery partition to do a complete system restore

Hello,
Because I had my laptop repaired, it was not until recently that II realized that my system recovery files were no longer present. I had tried the "Copy recovery partition to usb" option when creating a system restore to a usb, but the option was unavailable. When trying to conduct a system recovery, I received an error claiming I have mission files. (Rookie mistake that I didn't create a system restore point once I received my repaired laptop? )
Anyway,
I was wondering if this community knows how to conduct a factory system restore without buying the ($40) disks provided by the company?

I own a Toshiba Satellite L855 S5372, Product #: PSKFUU-02T003

Does anyone perhaps have a copy of the disk recovery?

Did they reinstall windows or no?

All you have to do is get an OEM copy of the version of windows that your PC came with. Most of the time OEM PC either 1) Come with the Product key on the bottom or 2) will active automaticlly though the bios because that is what version of windows your PC cames with. If it came with windows 8 and you have 8.1 installed you need the Windows 8 version. I use Dell OEM install disk for any OEM key and it works just fine (It brands the PC as a dell but there is a regedit to fix that) and if it doesn't activate automaticlly i just put in the Product key for it that is on the PC.

If you don't know what your product key there there are programs out there than can help you get it or there there are also generic CD keys for each brand of PC's out there that when you use them it sees that you have that brand of a laptop and activate it.
