Solved! No sound with HDMI connection to LCD Flat Screen

Have a new HDTV with HDMI connection from cable box but no sound on tv. Can hook up with regular cable and have sound. What gives?

go to your av button on the tv remote and change it from av1 to hdmi 1 should solve your problem
