Noisy Microphone (Will an external sound card fix it?)

Hello,

My microphone is making some sort of bzzzz noise, i guess it's called static noise?
I have a razer blackshark headset, and I'm using the microphone on it.

I wonder if an external sound card would improve my microphone quality and is an usb sound card the way to go?

If it would be very slight, how would you recommend me to configure my sound options? And yes, my headset is plugged in the rear of my computer, from the front it's even noisier.

Thanks.

Easy way to see if the sound card is the issue is to try the headset on some other computer. If it still has issues, it's time for a replacement. If it works elsewhere, a proper sound card might do the trick.

Who ever said "better"? I said another. In fact, if you have a TRSS to TRS splitter and a cellphone with TRSS input you can even try with that!

Back in september I built a pc with an Asus maximus hero vii, got some static background noice on my mic I did not have on my laptop.. So, I have read somewhere a couple of months ago that the best solution would be external soundcard, do you have an opinion on that? :)

Make a new thread with your exact problem, this is not the place for your question.
