Non-responsive Keys even when using different keyboards

I recently realised that my button beside 1 is not working on my HP pavilion dv6 laptop. Tried plugging in 3 different keyboards and the same key is not working. The On screen keyboard cant type out that key as well. Tried looking for solutions but did not found a problem similar to mine. Any help will be appreciated thanks

I used 3 USB keyboards i have at home but still cant get the key to work.

If you try the keyboard on the screen, the same key doesn't work also?

Yup it still doesn't work on the on screen keyboard. Tried uninstalling all keyboards in device manager in safe mode. still doesnt work

The tilde key. I manage to get it to work after changing it to uk keyboard. Cant work for us keyboard though

If you try the language "English (United States)" and for the keyboard "US", you will get the ~ beside the number 1.

Tried changing it to US keyboard. But it still doesnt comes out. Could it be because of registry errors?

Found the solution. One of my programs was using ` as a hotkey. Hence it could not be used
