I have a converter box and inside antenna. everything is as should be physically. I am getting no signal for some reason. i did a channel scan and the response is "no data". There are no channels and the picure is crystal clear. i move the attenna and is makes no difference.

does this mean the converter box bit the dust (the light is still on)? or do i need a stronger antenna?

Without knowing the make/model of your converter box, or knowing how your antenna is connected, hard to say. But any decent TV antenna will pickup digital/HDTV signals, you don't need a fancy "HD antenna". http/www.hdtvantennalabs.com/hdtv-antenna-hype.php

i would take the antenna outside to rule out the convertor box being broken.

because if the antenna isnt strong enough, you will know for sure if you bring the antenna outside and still dont get a signal.

but its possible that the convertor box isnt as sensitive as it could be.. and maybe that is why you arent getting any channels.

have you tried late at night?
when i had my antenna hooked up, i got all channels at night and only a couple during the day.
i moved my antenna outside and could get all channels during the day.
