Notebook CPU & GPU Temperature

I recently bought an ASUS X550JX notebook. And I've started monitoring my system temp.
It has a i5-4200H CPU and gtx 950m GPU.
My cpu is at 40-45C when idle, but 70-80 while gaming.
GPU is at around 60C while gaming.

Do you guys think is that normal ? I've changed the thermal compound too. And if these temps are a bit high maybe i did something wrong while applying the compound.

Most laptop components are designed to tolerate fairly high temperatures. Anything under 80-85 C is perfectly fine and within normal range. so your temperatures are actually excellent and well under the safety cap. if it peaks above 85C there may be an issue, but those temps while gaming are normal.

Given the fact that the i5-5200h is a 47w TDP CPU those temps look decent.

Those temps are normal while gaming.
