Notification sound

Several times a day I get a notification sound on my HTC Legend, while there's nothing to report. All synchronisation settings are switched off and I'm just turned off that sound, but can't here if an SMS is coming in.

Anyone knows this problem?

i believe the generic notification sound can be triggered by multiple things such as sms, power-connected, wifi-detected, power-connected, etcetera. it might even occur for dropped/reconnected signal or roaming. i dont have a legend, but on my phone typically i just have SMS set to vibrate with all others silent. phone calls are set to normal ring + vibrate.

I noticed that I could switch off the sound for data roaming, hope that helps. Thanks
