Notification tone related

Neither my whatsapp notification tone is working nor the message tone only it is vibrating..incoming call ringtone is working Properly..can you please tell me what is the problem and how to sort it out?? I am using oppo neo 7

Have you tried changing it to another sound, or turning the sounds off. Restarting the phone and then putting it back to the sound you want?

Also, check in the specific app to make sure it is not set to be really low or even off.
