Hello,
hi i m bying a 1080 bravia hdtv while i am using a simple cable connection; how can i convert it to high definition; is there any switcher or connector available?

if you currently have a standard definition signal from your cable there are ZERO ways to get it to be a true high definition signal besides paying the extra cash to your cable company for HD.

there are technologies available which might improve the image quality a bit (like how dvds can get upconverted just a little bit) but this is a very far cry from being true hd.
