After playing games for a decently long amount of time (I'd say about 4-6 hours on and off), I shut down my laptop for a good hour or two to eat dinner and watch some Netflix. After turning my laptop back on, it froze to the point where I had to shut it off. After shutting it off, it searched for the problem and said that I should restart it. I restarted my PC and now it is taking about 20 seconds to boot up (10-15 seconds of a black screen) and then boots up normally. The problem here is that my dedicated graphics card (the GTX 765m) isn't starting up at all.

-I refreshed the Device Manager (Nothing happened)
-I uninstalled/reinstalled the driver (Nothing happened)
-I restarted my PC multiple times (Nothing happened)

... So I am guessing my dedicated graphics in my $2000 laptop is dead right?

System Info:
OS: Windows 10 Pro Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
RAM: 8.00 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M
Storage (Samsung SSD): Size 221.18 GB (237,485,682,688 bytes)

tl;dr: My Razer Blade Pro's (2013 Model) Dedicated graphics card (GTX 765m) won't start up and will not work even after a reinstall of drivers and/or a restart. Please help :(

I have a Razer Blade Pro 2013 as well. Recently in Windows 8.1 the GPU died when launching photoshop - it bsod'd and gave me the following error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (nvlddmkm.sys). Afterwards Nvidia did not come up. I tried wiping the laptop and the GPU was messed up. Then I went to windows 10 and the computer still didnt work. It does not recognize the driver that is installed it says to install the latest driver which is the same as the current driver installed.

In device manager, does it have a little exclamation mark over the nvidia765m?
right click on it and go to properties - does it say "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"?
then go to details and on the drop down under...

What does GPU-Z say? Is it optimus controlled? Do you have to hit function key+a button to turn on/enable the gpu? Can you tell if the GPU fan is working? Are you still under warranty?

Does it say
01802400?
DN_HAS_PROBLEM?
DN_DISABLEABLE?
DN_NT_ENUMERATOR?
DN_NT_DRIVER?

the laptop is optimus controlled...
This is my 6th or 7th replacement (they couldn't give me a working replacement) in the 2.5 years I have owned the laptop. I have only had the laptop for a few weeks and its already failed again. :heink:

Alright, so I was able to solve my problems after a secondary wipe of my drivers and a reinstall of said drivers all of the way through. I had to run Nvidea's Control Panel to upgrade the drivers to the Windows 10 compatible ones (for some reason the first time it didn't update to the Windows 10 drivers).

So I am all good now guys. Thanks for the help. This Razer Blade Pro is a shitty laptop and I have almost had enough with this laptop.

You may want to look at Origin for a gaming laptop next time, but the good thing about the Blade is the portability/weight. My Origin laptop is fairly chunky. Also I hate optimus technology, has caused me all kinds of grief; thankfully my Origin 15S doesn't use it. I've never had my dell, origin, or my alienware laptops needing to be replaced at any point. I've used Dell and Alienware gaming laptops since 2002 and Origin since 2014.

Hi,

I am having the exact same issue as you and no matter what I try I can't get my GPU to work. Can you explain in detail how you went about fixing it?
