Odd Rattle in Headphones

I fear I have done the worst thing a music lover can, and blow out their headphones. I'm using the CM Storm Sirus 5.1 headphones that use true 5.1 surround sound with a sub in the left ear. I just noticed a rattle in the left ear when bass in a song is introduced, and am wondering if this is a sign of me blowing out my headphones. Is it?

Already have read that thread before while doing research. He's using an amp to split his signal and he got hair between the connections. That doesn't apply to me.

have you already done the tests they suggested using different sources at different volume levels?

have you had the headphones apart to see if anything was amiss?
