Ok so I accidentally deleted a .odt open office text file from my usb drive. After this i used Recuva to retrieve the file which it said was in good condition. But, when I look at the file on my computer after recovery it has weird symbols like ... -÷å+´"`”R²¾OèÈ1úßbr›ÃÃý³é\m•U¯ìÝYqØGYÜÌžªûª‡—p~&ÿl°ŠÅoöd·ÍҏÎ8ÓK¤‰zø}6^b÷‡Úå"ÃîÖëÜ—…¬Ïx·×š5kõ…Zøßy–ë½ïF.ÔNÏ÷<¿ïzR°ª‰uzþç<³ÓóDÍéªåŠàtõ

Does this mean the file is corrupt and I will never be able to access it again or is there some way that I can recover my text within the document...? Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated...

every other software I've used comes up with the exact same problem, is there one that maybe you would suggest as truly better than the all the rest? Or possibly there is some way to "uncorrupt" after the recovery?
