My Windows version of Office 2010 does not calculate properly. I try to add a column of cells for a Sum and get the wrong answer. Suggestions

You are speaking of Excel, right?

Show us what you have, and how it is failing. Some us in here know a thing or two about Excel...

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > right click Office 2010 > click "Change" > Repair > Continue... the Office installer will repair the Office insallation and replace corrupted installation files.

Why would you suggest a repair of Office, when the issue might be simply an incorrect formula?

He says Office (Excel) doesn't calculate properly... didn't say incorrect formula.. looks to me he knows what he's doing but the results are incorrect. And he did say Office is corrupted. sounds to me he's asking for a Office solution not a formula correction.

He also says a sum of cells in a column gives the wrong result. Nothing as simple as a sum so it doesn't sound like a formula issue but a corruption issue.

I've been using spreadsheets since Lotus came out. If it was corrupted it wouldn't work. The wrong calculations are a function/formula issue.

Let's discover the actual problem, and then apply the correct solution/fix.

That's a good idea.... that way we can download the file and test the formula to determine if the issue is the formula or what...

a file sharing website or Google Sheets (shared file) can be used to upload the file... only problem is that OP seems to have abandoned the thread.
