Old speakers

Hey guys, once again I m back looking for intel for help for my quirky situations...

My old Klipsch 5.1 powerd subwoofer amp died (circa 2006) but my satellites are still good. Is there a way to hook up those old school +/- wires to a newer amp + subwoofer or combo pack? I need 5 dual wire connections for the satellites and the center speaker.

Update: I am trying out a Pioneer vsx 5O and use the optical line to get the sound. Its great for all the other attachments but for the sound coming out of the computer, creative labs doesnt seem to recognize the optical line and I have no way to work the EAX, or any of the modes or presets. Using the hdmi has the same effect. Are there any programs that work through the system that have better sound control? Everything seems a bit.... flat.
