Hi,

I have my computer in a different room then my 52 inch Samsung LCD, I am wondering if I get a 50 feet long HDMI wire and hook it up to my tv I'd be able to watch my downloaded HD movies straight on tv without burning them.

Question is the movies I usually download are 720p and travelling 50 feet through HDMI wire would it loose all it's quality and look like 480p ? or not ? and any suggestion which brand cable should I be buying ?

Thanks in ADvance

You need an HDMI repeater

It will not be a conversation about quality, but rather one of whether the signal comes out the other side or not. A video card may not push enough voltage to handle that long of a cable run. That's why the above poster recommends a repeater.

actually you do loose some of the quality in a long wire, but loose less of it with the repeater. That's the problem with any kind of video signal.
Also remember that spending a bunch of money on "premium" cable such as monster cable is also a waste of money.
