Opeing a text file

I have a couple of text files on my iPaq, they do not have a .txt extension.
I don't want to give them one nor do I want to create an association with
the extension that they do have, but would still like to be able to read
them. What can I use that comes with the iPaq (2003 first edition) to open
the files? I've tried pocket word, but didn't find an Open option.

Wayne,

I believe you have two options.

1. You will have to put a .txt extension on the file and open it with
Pocket Word
2. You can download/purchase Resco Explorer 2003 and associate the file
with Pocket Word

Hope this helps,

you can also install a text editor such as pocketnotepad from
http://tillanosoft.com

Note that the above does have a file size limit, but there are other
editors that should meet your needs if you are opposed to adding the
file extension to word's edit list
