So I just purchased the optima he 143x and the picture is unreal. I bought the dlp glasses because I was told I do not need the RF transmitter that optima sells to use this. Problem is my PS3 and Xbox one are going through an older receiver then to the projector. They are all high speed hdmi cables. Is there any way to bypass this? And even if I did buy the RF box and glasses wouldn’t I still have the same problem coming from the dvd source?

Solution
If your receiver won't pass the 3D information then you could connect your sources to an HDMI input selector with audio extraction. That will provide a digital audio output for the receiver and HDMI out for the projector.
I suspect you are going to need the RF box to get active 3D glasses workings.
