I live in northwest NJ and I am serviced by Cablevision. I am planning on
buying a Panasonic TH-42PX25U. I currently have only family cable with
Optonline. For me to get HD service I have to upgrade to IO service and get
a converter box. I also need to get installation. Should I have the cable
come before the HD people come? I am looking at the technical issues as
opposed the economic issues.
BTW, any reasons why I should not get the Panasonic TH-42PX25U?

That model also has a CableCard slot so if Cablevision offers the service,
you could rent the card instead of a box. Downside of CableCard though is
it's only one way communication, so you can't buy pay-per view movies and
there's no on screen guide.

As far as negatives on this plasma, I can't think of any. It's really a
fantastic television.
