otg modem support

Does a tab which has otg but does not support modem ....is because of some hardware or it can be supported by some software tweaks.if yes let me know.and if no then let me know of any way to know ACTually a otg tab supports modem or not.

Is this a Galaxy tab otg phone you're talking about?

It has wifi. So it should connect to a wifi modem/router.
