Outlook 2010 crashes when reminder pops up

I am currently having a major problem with Outlook 2010.

Each time I start Outlook, as soon as a reminder pops up, Outlook crashes and there is a dialogue box with the message: "MS Outlook has stopped working".

Furthermore, in the details part, there is the following information:

I have already reinstalled Microsoft Office 2010 and the same problem occurs.

I have also started Outlook in safe mode and again, outlook still crashes when a reminder pops up.

Could somebody please tell me what is the problem and what should I do? Maybe there is a simple modification which I should perform to avoid this problem?

I believe msadp32.acm is a codec. Did you notice the issue start happening after you installed some other software or a codec package? Update?

Thanks for your reply. I did not install anything before I encountered this problem. Also, I do not remember having done any updates.
