Hello, recently I have noticed my laptop cpu fan was spinning very fast.
The CPU is Intel Core i5 5200U.
I turn on the AIDA64 to see what is up and my cpu fan was on max, cpu cores on 72-74(load).
Today I dissembled the laptop and the fan is clean and there is no dust inside the computer.
I think it is the thermal paste.
What do you think?

Hi,

72-74 degrees while it's in load isn't that bad actually. :) Yes you can also apply new thermal paste on the CPU that should help in cooling it down. If you're still not comfortable with the temp of your laptop, I would suggest using a cooling pad to help more in cooling down the laptop.

I changed the thermal paste.

The results were amazing:
Before the changing of the paste:
Cinebench R15 - 77°C and the fan was on 102% with 4100RPM
Only playing youtube music - ~55°C and the fan was on ~60% and ~2500RPM

When I applied new Arctic MX-4 thermal paste:
Cinebench R15 - 62°C and the fan was on 80% with ~3200RPM
Only playing youtube music - ~42°C and the fan was on 0% and 0RPM
