Does anybody know what the DC input voltage from the AC adapter is for
this camera, as I can't find any reference to it in the user manual or
on the website. The panasonic website doesn't even list the optional
AC adapter (DMW-CAC1) even though it is refered to in the
instructions.

TIA

Although the Battery is NOMINALLY 7.2V, a freshly charged battery
ACTUALLY measures 8.34V. After the camera has taken a dozen or so
pictures, the voltage is still 7.92V.

So if you are trying to make a homemade external power supply, I would
aim for about 8.0 Volts. For a portable supply, six or seven NiMH cells
(nominally 1.2V) in series should do it. But I would check the actual
voltage of the battery pack because, as we have seen, there can be
considerable difference between the "rated" voltage and the actual voltage.
